Riding legally
on your electric skateboard
Since decree no. 2019-1082, riding electric skateboards on public roads has been strictly regulated in France. Evo-Spirit offers all its models in a road-legal version, so you can ride with full confidence without giving up performance.

Our road-legal models keep everything you love about the ride – power, braking, range and comfort. Only the top speed is limited to 25 km/h, as required by law.

to ride?
In urban areas
- Cycle paths and lanes
- Roads with a 50 km/h limit (when no cycle path is available)
- Sidewalks: off-limits unless local authorities permit it
Outside urban areas
- Greenways and cycle paths: allowed
- Standard roadway: prohibited

Sidewalks
Riding on sidewalks is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by local authorities.
Passengers
Solo riders only. Carrying a passenger is not allowed.
Headphones
Riding with earphones or headphones in is prohibited.
Alcohol and drugs
Riding under the influence is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.

Bell
A bell or horn is mandatory.
Front and rear lights
Lighting is required for visibility and safety.
14 years minimum
You must be at least 14 to ride on public roads.
Third-party insurance
Third-party liability insurance is mandatory for all EDPM riders.
Non-compliance can result in fines of up to€1.500.
