Retro design and real comfort
At Evo-Spirit, the deck is a signature. The Cruz V2 stays true to that tradition with a 7-ply maple and bamboo construction. The flex is moderate: supple enough to absorb vibrations, stiff enough to stay responsive.
What immediately catches the eye is the fish-tail shape – a direct nod to 80s skateboards. But it's not just about looks: the rear kicktail lets you spin on the spot, which makes a real difference in the city.
A nice touch: the 3 mm foam-effect grip tape. It's a departure from classic abrasive grip and clearly adds to riding comfort. The bamboo enclosure with its marbled finish gives the whole thing a clean, elegant look.

Double your range without adding weight
The Cruz V2 battery slides into the deck and is held by 4 screws. Swap time: under a minute. This is one of the model's biggest advantages – carry a spare and you can double your range without having to stop and charge between sessions.
With the standard 7 Ah (252 Wh) battery, Guillaume measured a real-world range of over 25 km on smooth roads with urethane wheels. With Cloudwheels, expect closer to 15-18 km depending on riding intensity.

The Cruz V2 comes with three wheel options, each offering a different balance of grip, comfort and range. Guillaume tested all three to give you his honest real-world take.
Urethane 90 mm
80A hardness. Smooth rolling on clean asphalt, best range and strong torque. The ideal pick for daily urban commuting.
Cloudwheel Rover 110 mm
Better vibration absorption, more versatility and improved grip across different surfaces. For riders who mix asphalt and light paths.
Cloudwheel Discovery 105 mm
Wider contact patch for superior traction and stability on asphalt. A solid balance of comfort and performance.
What Guillaume measured on the road
GPS-verified figures from real riding conditions
For his test, Guillaume used dual GPS tracking (phone paired with an Insta360 + Garmin watch) for reliable data. Peak speed: 41-42 km/h, slightly above the stated 39 km/h. For range, he covered over 25 km on smooth roads with urethane wheels.
With Cloudwheels, range dropped to around 15 km – but he was pushing hard: trails, grass, hills... conditions that really hammer the battery.
Agility and riding feel
The short wheelbase makes the Cruz V2 extremely agile. Even on single-pivot trucks, the carving is engaging and you build confidence quickly. It's a board that invites you to play – to link turn after turn.
The cruiser format has its limits: above 40 km/h, you notice it isn't as planted as a longboard. But that's not what it's for: the Cruz V2 shines in urban riding, weaving through the city and relaxed carving sessions.
